Purepechan Food Exhibit

Many cooks of the region participate in this exhibition with the best local ingredients so the visitors can taste traditional food from the areas of Michoacan. You can taste jaukatas (bean tamales), chapatas, handmade tortillas, corundas, meat and bean pozole, traditional brad, guayabas, chayotes, pumpkins, different kinds of atole and bread, all cooked in concrete ovens, metates and molcajetes.

Uruapan was the first michoacan city that host these kinds of exhibits to promote and show the traditional purepechan food.
