Colola Beach



It is renowned for selling some of the best handicrafts on the Coast of Michoacán, elaborated by the Nahuatl communities of Pomaro and Coire. Very close to the beach stands and ecological museum devoted to the preservation of the Galapagos green tortoise, which is one of Michoacán’s endemic species. In this beach you can find three species of sea turtle that are in danger of extinction: Golfina, Laúd and Galapagos green tortoise. This beach is one of great importance because it is known that here nests more than 70% of the world total of sea turtles.
