This museum was founded in 1976, in order to teach about the life of the generals Lázaro Cárdenas and Francisco J. Múgica. The museum documents the entire history of the Mexican Revolution. It also exhibits several archaeological artifacts and its facilities include a small library and a newspaper library. Currently the museum belongs to the UNAM’s Academic Unit for Regional Studies.
