It is an archaeological site of great historical value, mostly because its construction reveals great influence from the Teotihuacan architecture. Thus it is believed that the site was inhabited before the appearance of the Tarascan culture, from year 600 to 900 AD. The ruins still house the old ball game, several rooms, public squares and the rests of an aqueduct and a seven-level pyramid with square base.
