Calletana Nambo is a traditional cook born in Erongarícuaro, and a faithful lover of the gastronomic traditions of Michoacán. There for she has devoted herself to transmitting all her knowledge through teaching and thus preserve Michoacán’s great culinary wealth.

Calletana is always ready to give the best in each dish she prepares, which is demonstrated whenever she elaborates traditional dishes such as churipo and corundas, both of which have been awarded by the government of Michoacán. She has achieved great success thanks to her great experience as she has been cooking since she was thirteen years old. She always takes advantage of the ingredients provided by nature, which gives a fresh and healthy touch to her dishes. The most representative of her stews are tarascan soup, wheat pozole, the tamales and the aguacatas.
