On June 29, the image of San Pedro Apóstol is honored in the town of San Pedro Tarímbaro near Tlalpujahua. The following Sunday you can see a show of traditional flyers, a show attended by thousands of locals and foreigners.

In 2009, UNESCO declared the Ritual Ceremony of the Voladores as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Along with other flyers settled in different parts of the country, such as Papantla, Cuetzalan and Tamaletón; In the municipality of Tlalpujahua are the flyers of San Pedro Tarímbaro, where four men sail through the winds with the help of a rope that ties them to the top of a high-altitude piece of wood. Its worldview, red clothing and initiation rituals make this an unparalleled tradition.
